Start Your Own My Pop Choir

What We Are About

My Pop Choir is an all inclusive pop and rock adult community choir group.  There are no auditions, no experience necessary, and no need to read music.  My Pop Choir is about the power of singing together, connecting people in a safe and comfortable environment; it’s a cathartic and restorative group experience.

Opening A New Location

We want to partner with musical directors to open new My Pop Choir locations across Canada. We supply the backbone (administrative, vocal tracks, arrangements, website, etc) while you act as music director, help build and maintain the choir, coordinate with venues, and as such, the choir in effect becomes yours.  My Pop Choir is a family owned organization and the process of adding a new location is very collaborative.  We will provide as much support as needed to ensure each new choir is a success.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should be confident in a leadership role, with an ability to inspire fellow singers and offer a fabulous fun-filled night of music and connection.  Directors should have an uplifting personality, and engage the choir with joy and humour.

Our choir directors must be able to sing, read sheet music, chord along to music/play out melodies, typically on piano.  We sing to music tracks and do not rehearse with a dedicated accompanist.

Previous choral experience is not necessary, in fact most of our team did not start with a choral background!  Full training will be provided.  If you think you have the right personality and possess the basic music skills, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are hard working, then that’s all you really need!

This position is ideally a long term endeavour, and can be an immensely satisfying and lucrative career.  Feel free to reach out to owner Alex Fiddes with any questions using the email below.
